The Brooks HellRunner is over multi-terrain and varying underfoot conditions. There will be everything from running tracks and trails to water-filled areas and plenty of steep hills. Expect to get cold and wet! It will be nature at its toughest. The course will be marked but do not expect to see mile or kilometre markers….that’s for those softy road running types. All you need to know is that the course will be probably more than 10 and less than 12 miles in length. Hey! With what we have in store, who’s counting? Notorius Night Runs Sherwood Pines Sherwood Pines, Nottinghamshire: 3rd March 2012 For 2012, we’ll be back, bigger, and even better. For starters, March means an earlier start time for both 5k and 10k, which roughly translates as the chance to camp onsite the night before, more darkness, and more time to relax (party) afterwards. The course will remain relatively unchanged from 2011, with firm favourites the Borrow Hole, the Swamp, and Legendary Spooky Wood all making a welcome return. Fancy dress is part of the fun, with Lincoln Green top of the what-to-wear list. Whether you sign up to the daylight 5k(ish) or the torchlit 10k(and a bit), you’re all welcome to attend the Notorious after-party, with legendary live music and local hospitality, and a chance to sleep soundly in our onsite camping area. You’ll need your traction engine on you for this challenge however so make sure you dress accordingly – it is March in the North after all – it could get a bit brass monkeys.
