Welbourn Castle Races

We are already planning the 2011 Welbourn Castle 10k and hope that you can join us on Sunday 21st August.
We had great feedback at and after the 2010 event and with the Runners World reviews showing that 100% would do the race again we are sure of a large entry in 2011

What's new & Better ? I'm glad you asked.....
We have extended our race capacity to at least 350 and will improve the finish area and systems.
We will be offering a discount for advance entries before a certain date.
The course will be the same as in 2010
Start times will be the same... 10:30am for the 2 mile Fun Run and 11:00am for the 10k Run and Walk.
At the 2011 event we hope to have the Help for Heroes stand and we will of course be supporting this, our chosen charity, again.
The village hall will have all facilities and the ladies will be serving Coffee & Cakes.
We are also looking into having a Bar at the village hall.
2010 Review
Welcome to Welbourn Castle 10k Trail Run, 10k Walk & 2m Fun Run
Thank you to all the runners, walkers and fun runners that took part in the 2010 Welbourn Castle races.
We had a lovely sunny day and from the feedbak you all enjoyed the new course and the excellent facilities of Welbourn Village Hall, not to mention The Joiners Arms afterwards. We will be holding this race again on the same weekend in 2011 please watch this website for details of our future events we have plans to keep you running!

2010 Welbourn Castle Races
In 2010 we asked our runners to try to raise some funds for our chosen charity Help for Heroes.
We received £125 from runners sponsorship on the day and made £160.86 from the sale of Help the Heroes Wristbands.
Thank you all for supporting our chosen charity with an on the day total of £285.86
