About Chris Smith (Hon Sec & Treasurer)
Chris was named Zohan after the film came out and members saw that the attitude was just the same!
I race most weekends and have completed over 400 races including London to Brighton and Snowdon 10m mountain race and many international races.
I enjoy the harder events and have done many Athens and Snowdon Marathons, I am now taking part in the new generation of Extreme Events - the harder the better. I very much enjoyed taking part in the 1st Adidas Thunder Run 24 hour 10k trail relay race in August 2009 best wishes to Patrick for making it such a great race.

I am qualified / training as...
FiRW Coach
Course Measurer (Qualified as Level 2)
First Aider
1 Star Kayak Certificate
Certificates - A Club For All, Sports Nutrition
About Dave (Hon Chairman)
Dave is called Dave The Cave as he regularly runs London Marathon in Cave Man kit (With a Parrot).
I have been a runner for over 20 years and have completed over 180 Marathons and every other challenge I can find.
My first taste of disance running was for the opening of the Humber Bridge marathon 1980-1981. Just a marathon was not enough distance so the next race was the Kennedy memorial race. There was 52 states so just a mile per state, and the madness had begun. I have since completed 180+ full marathons of which several have been 100kms long, Half marathons 10 milers and 10kms must now take my total races 1000+ races. Off road races and map reading have become the norm and I have started to enjoy orienteering, real running with thinking.

About Catherine
I started running in 1998 with a group of friends we gave ourselves a goal of the Great North Run which we loved and I have not stopped running since! I now run any distance and terrain up to 15 miles, I enjoy the trail and extreme events such as The GRIM and am training for HellRunner.
